RJ Video is a friendly videography agency based in Leicester but available for jobs in Birmingham, Coventry, and across the Midlands.  

Whilst RJ Video comprises a loose collective of talented freelance creatives, the main man is Richard James Wood. 

“My earliest memory of filmmaking was my mum’s old super 8 film camera. She always documented my and my sister’s life. I remember thinking how magical it was that moments in the real world could be captured in this box and then played on a projector. Then tape and sound followed and my mind was blown!” he said. 

“Since then, I have spent 20+ years producing moving images: from community social media,  
to adverts, documentaries, weddings, live-streaming, and feature films. 

“I started out as a social community video producer in the 00s and have since become a short film producer in the Midlands, England, UK.  

“Known for supporting and developing new talent in the region, I was the chairman of Call the Shots Filmmaking group, and founder of the short film night Roots to Shoots, which is now run by Brian Harley. Alongside this, I have also taught media at colleges and universities since 2006.”
